This is a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of historic northern New Mexico, in historic Tierra Amarilla. This two story traditional style adobe home with tin roof was built in 1881 and is known as the Garcia House. Graced with fruit trees and lilacs in the yard, it has portals along the front and back of the house. The house has been added onto and is L-shaped, with the downstairs renovated by the owners and a previous owner. There is a full second story which would provide a lot of extra living space if renovated (it was originally five separate rooms). The original interior adobe walls and wood floors are still in most of the house. Some of the recent renovations include new windows on the back of the house and wood replaced on the back portal; new Rheem tankless hot water heater; new heating unit in one bedroom; new roof on the back addition; and work on the electrical system. There is a wooden building in the back yard that could be a storage shed or a small studio or workshop. The property is zoned both commercial and residential. The current owners have a room in the back which was used as a stage. Don't miss this opportunity to live in a historic adobe house and continue to develop it into the beauty that it will be!
